Training and Mentoring

Our courses are individually tailored to meet the specific needs of your practice. Course content, timing and participant numbers can all be adapted to provide your practice with the most valuable learning outcomes for your business.

This is an exciting time in the field of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy. With new research, an increasing awareness of the value of OMT is spreading across the medical profession and to the general public.

OMT plays an important adjunctive role in the multi-disciplinary approach to treat the orthodontic, TMD and sleep-disordered breathing patient. Our specially designed courses train your staff to recognise myofunctional disorders, airway, orthodontic, growth and development issues and identify opportunities for further dental intervention.

Therapy programs involve more frequent patient visits to your practice, driving patient engagement and retention, and building more valuable, long- term relationships with your clients.

Offering patients this service in-house also assists in building an extensive network referral system of ENTs, sleep physicians, orthodontists and other health professionals.

For a deeper engagement, talk to us about a mentoring program for you or your staff, building continuous learning and support processes into your practice.

Mentorship is a powerful way to enhance workforce performance and engagement, promote learning opportunities and encourage multidisciplinary collaboration.

Our mentorship program includes:

  • consultation on complex cases

  • support for high level problem solving, diagnostic, and decision-making skills

  • case discussions, and

  • issues of quality assurance and continuing education.

The ultimate goal of our mentoring programs is to build the skills of local practitioners to become mentors themselves. Ideally, as the pool of expert orofacial myofunctional practitioners expands, a network will emerge to support and train other practitioners with less experience.
